We wish Gilbert could talk to tell us what had happened. He was found as a stray in very rough shape. It was apparent he had been on his own for quite a while. Despite how poorly he looked and felt he was still quite friendly. He is now a completely different cat. He looks great and he feels great. He has lived the hard life. Surely he has earned the right to live the easy life from here on out. A soft bed, warm lap and plenty of affection would fulfill his every wish. Coming from nothing it doesn't take much to make him happy and content.
