Michael Phelps
I was named Michael Phelps after the Olympian swimmer who won all the medals. My foster human says that I am “gold” and a real champ! She says so because my world is dark as I am blind, yet I am a happy dog who loves life. I am house broken, walk well on a leash and know the commands sit and come. I love humans and dogs alike. Unfortunately, dogs don’t always love me. Because of my blindness, I don’t blink a lot. Other dogs think that I am staring at them and view it as a challenge. I have been attacked many times because of this but I keep trying to make dog friends because I love to play. I would be great in home with adults, kids and/or a submissive dog who likes to play a lot but won’t take offense at my big, beautiful staring eyes! I would not be good in a home where I would be alone all the time, not because I’m destructive but because I would be alone in my own darkness. A home with another friendly/submissive dog, elderly person or stay- at- home human would be ideal. My foster human thinks I might make a good therapy dog because I am so friendly and love to be touched.

M’Shoogy’s couldn’t accept Michael Phelps but is hoping to help him find a home. If you're interested in meeting him contact doghound@att.net.
